Rupert Schmidtberg - Vice President & Chief Technology Officer General Manager of Track and Trace
Rupert Schmidtberg joined Sensitech as Vice President, Information Services in January 1998 and was promoted to Chief Technology Officer in 2000. He is responsible for all aspects of the company’s systems development, network and data hosting operations, and its initiative to significantly expand its intellectual property position. Rupert is an active member of EPCglobal and is leading Sensitech in its adoption of RFID and related software applications. Rupert was Vice President, Engineering for Vibrint Technologies, a start-up developing digital video server, video editing and media database products. Prior to that he served in a number of senior executive roles with the MacNeal-Schwendler/Aires Corporation, a Finite Element Modeling and Analysis company, including Vice President, New Market Development, Vice President, Product Development, and Director, Application Software Development. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.
